How can the German PV industry stand up to international competition?

The PV Days 2024 provide comprehensive insights into current developments and challenges in the solar sector: from material quality and testing methods to the risks of yet unknown defects in new technologies, and innovative approaches to maximizing system efficiency and minimizing failure risks.

This year, a special focus will be on the increasingly important topics of sustainability and recycling. Representatives from around 25 different industry partners and research institutions are expected to participate in this event in Halle (Saale).

Planned presentation topics:

  • Materials: Challenges in quality and supply chains with contributions from MeyerBurger GmbH, HI ERN, and MBJ Solutions GmbH
  • Cells, Components, and Modules: Rapid technological development vs. potential defect mechanisms with contributions from PCCL, TÜV Rheinland, AE Solar GmbH, and Fraunhofer ISE
  • PV Systems: Optimized operations and risk assessment with contributions from EURAC and the Austrian Institute for Technology
  • Sustainability: On the way to industrial-grade PV recycling with contributions from Reiling PV-Recycling GmbH, RW silicium GmbH, Fraunhofer ISE, and FH Bern

Companies are invited to present their technological innovations at the “Ideas and Industrial Marketplace” and engage with the PV Days audience.

In this context, representatives from our project partner Meyer Burger will hold a presentation on the Innovation Fund and give an insight into the DIAMONDS4IF project.
